8TV will be celebrating its second anniversary with a birthday bash that includes exciting activities at Berjaya Times Square (Kuala Lumpur) on Jan 10 and at 1-Utama (Petaling Jaya) on Jan 14 and 15. There will also be a makeover for its Malay and Mandarin news bulletins.
On Jan 10, Taiwan's all-female group S.H.E will be meeting fans and promoting their drama series Reaching for the Stars at Berjaya Times Square from noon. The series will join the 8TV line-up on Jan 13 at 8.30pm.
Malaysian Idol 2005 winner Daniel will also perform at the place, with special appearances by the 24 contestants of Project Superstar.
Activities lined up for Jan 14 and 15 at 1 Utama (New Wing) Ground Floor Highstreet are performances by Malaysian Idol stars Daniel, Nita, Farah, Jac, Dina, Mick, Saiful, Mick, Zam and Rydee), and appearances by 8TV personalities (Marion, Adam, Rina and Phat Fabes) and the finalists of reality show Malaysia's Most Beautiful.
There will also be promos on upcoming programmes such as KL Lights, Ghost Whisperer, Simple Life 3 and Project Runaway, along with percussion performances, games and all-round fun for everyone. The festivities will kick off at 1pm on both days.
On screen, the news bulletins will sport a new look with new names. The Bahasa Malaysia news will be re-launched on Jan 8 and will be aired daily at 8pm. The Mandarin news will be re-launched on Jan 9 and comes on at 6.30pm on week days.
